While a Shopify subscription provides the foundation for an online seller to start their business, merchants frequently turn to apps built by third-party developers to do what Shopify’s offering can’t, like create personalized pages and optimize their marketing plans.
They find these apps in the Shopify App Store, which is home to over 7,000 apps. Building an app ecosystem is actually a key part of Shopify’s strategy. When developers create better tools for merchants, those merchants sell more on Shopify. The better the merchants, the better Shopify.
