Snapchat ranks among UK’s most deleted apps

Snapchat is the most deleted app in the UK, a report from Bespoke Software Solutions has revealed.

According to the report, for every 100,000 UK Snapchat users, 971 searched for how to remove the app. The Bespoke Software Solutions report analyzed the most popular apps of 2021 and cross-referenced them with monthly user data for each app and the number of times people search for queries related to removing apps, based on the information of the analytics tool, AHREFS.com.

Telecoms.com said: “Based on this methodology, Snapchat is apparently the app most Britons want to remove, with 971.64 ‘how to remove’ searches per 100,000 users.

“Here is the top ten list: Snapchat – 971.64 search deletions/100,000 users; Instagram – 917.31 remove searches/100,000 users; Twitch – 270.83 search deletions/100,000 users; Facebook – 141.16 remove searches/100,000 users; Google Meet – 133.33 deleted searches/100,000 users; Twitter – 63.78 search deletions/100,000 users; Zoom – 48.41 search deletions/100,000 users; WhatsApp – 31.81 remove searches/100,000 users; Netflix – 26.27 remove searches/100,000 users; Disney+ – 16.17 removes searches/100,000 users.

The report does not feature TikTok, whose ad revenue will exceed that of Twitter and Snapchat combined this year, according to research by Insider Intelligence.

Insider Intelligence analyst Debra Williamson said, “TikTok’s user base has exploded over the past two years, and the amount of time users spend on the app is extraordinary.

“It has gone far beyond its roots as a lip-syncing and dancing app; it creates trends and fosters deep connections with creators that keep users engaged, video after video. »
