Google banned 16 Android apps and more than 20 million users need to remove them.

The tech giant noted that these apps secretly hide dangerous malware, adding that they are loaded with the new strain of Clicker malware which is used by cyber crooks to gain illegal ad revenue.

Just one of these apps has been downloaded over 10 million times.

However, if you downloaded any of them before they were removed by Google, they will still remain on your Android device.

Separately, media reported that Google is expected to release Chrome browser version 110 on February 7, 2023, which will be the last to support Microsoft’s two legacy PC operating systems, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

The end of support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users aligns with Microsoft’s decision to end support for these two operating systems starting January 10, 2023.

An older version of Google Chrome will be available on these operating systems which will not receive updates released to users and may expose them to multiple risks.

Meanwhile, PCs running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 will be able to access Google Chrome after 2023 with version 110.
