EXCLUSIVE: Shoutem Partner Ginger to Offer Direct-to-Consumer Apps for Cannabis Retailers

Ginger [Commerce]a California-based pure-play direct-to-consumer platform, has launched an exclusive partnership with Shoutem, Benzinga learned exclusively.

Ginger and Shoutem now create white-label native iOS mobile apps exclusively for Ginger’s client brands.

How it works

Ginger’s headless, white-label e-commerce and logistics solution enables cannabis brands to offer DTC delivery to consumers directly from a brand’s website, giving brands the power to monetize and optimize their website, and market directly to their customers with complete data ownership. Cannabis brands partnering with Ginger can now quickly launch a fully-customized, native iOS mobile app with branded content, discovery, and integrated e-commerce functionality, and be able to tap into a massive mobile e-commerce opportunity and to generate revenue from their mobile application customers.

“We are delighted with this launch and this partnership with Shoutem. We have built Ginger’s e-commerce technology so that we can fully align with customer brands and open the door to new opportunities,” says Roie Edery, Founder and CEO of Ginger. “By having their own app, brands can now access vast ad networks geared towards mobile apps, gain insights into their geolocation, and be able to engage users with immersive content and personalized push notifications. It’s a whole new way for cannabis brands to win new customers and turn them into brand loyalists.

“When we decided to take the plunge and develop a direct-to-consumer app, we turned to Ginger Commerce. I can speak for both companies when I say we strongly believe that connecting our platforms will create a major upturn for the cannabis industry,” comments Shoutem CEO Kristijan Perić.

The first app from the Shoutem x Ginger collaboration is CLICK APP, and it can be downloaded from Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store.
